DERAS IN PUNJAB

The Deras already run by the central agencies (“Some Powers”) in Punjab.

The agencies visit for the safety of the Deras is only misleading and an eyewash exercise have no meaning  as experienced but were intended only for external propaganda.

There may be some other game to play in Punjab under the garb of the agencies visit for the safety of the Deras.

The Double Standards of So-called Sikh Organizations about Sikh Affairs-Why?

A General Submission before the Sikhs

Balbir Singh Sooch, Advocate, Ludhiana

The Sikhs opposing Prof. Darshan Singh and having different views being aggrieved from his any comments should write hard articles critically and logically against him without giving him undue importance in the manner.

I personally did rebut or ignore the views of such people, facing them gladly and friendly and also learn more from the people who have different ideology or different opinion and views on the same subject.

For example: Sardar Dalbir Singh, a personality of Marxist background, a prominent journalist who was closely associated with Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and also he wrote books.

He and his family suffered during the period, known as a Sikh struggle from the state repression as well as from the militants, despite being their sympathizer.

He is a much respected personality to me, though having different views about Sikhism.

He accepted my hard critism about his book gladly without changing his attitude with me till today.

We did also clash mentally and argued seriously with each other in Nepal when we were there in April, 2008, on very important duty among the Short Term Election International Observers. For reference only:

A Memorable Report of International Observers Team)

The Sikhs can read the criticism on websites referred below as how the reviewer very critically points out the difference between Marxism and Sikhism in brief while reviewing Sardar Dalbir Singh’s Book.

SGPC haste to amend NanakShahi calendar raises eyebrows-COMMENTS

The Indian Spoiled System

Think Twice Before Toeing, Narrating or Propagating Your Line and One-sided Stories

  1. Would the Sikh Sangat world wide be ready to see ‘The Indian Spoiled System’ with the help of spectacles and  the eyes of Sikh Vichar Manch before giving your advice and suggestions, to the thieves, the rulers or the persons in queue to be so,  by attending their seminars, conferences, meetings, Dharnas etc?
  2.
  3. Are you so powerful and prepared to question their (the thieves, rulers or in queue to be so) very inception and at whose instance and at whose cost, they were and are in field? In short, question them, who are they?
  4.
  5. Are you, yourself not one of the thieves, the rulers or the persons in queue to be so?
  6.
  7. Will ever be any meaningful effect of your independent advice and suggestions on them?
  8.
  9. If you are independent and or mentally powerful and prepared to know, question and competent to do the analysis of all this, would ever you be invited and or tolerated to address such seminars, conferences, meetings, Dharnas etc conducted by them?
  10.
  11. I don’t think you can answer, independently, positively and conclusively in view of the ground realities prevailing in India.
  12.
  13. Then, to whom to suggest or advise for reforms in ‘The Indian Spoiled System’?

Please do link and read and comment independently-Thanks

INFERENCE: The SGPC is neither political nor working for the cause of religion and humanity, but only managing Goluk i.e. offerings of Guru

An analysis- News

From the following statement of the SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar, the inference can safely be drawn that the SGPC is neither political nor working for the cause of religion and humanity, but only managing Goluk i.e. offerings of Guru

1.   The amendments have ruffled feathers in political circles only.

(Political circles to Makkar seems meaning by the splinter groups or the same and or some individuals working under different heads, alleging themselves political as well as religious groups for their own reasons, always wish to remain in news or directed to do so by “some powers”)

2.   Organisations working for the cause of religion and humanity have welcomed the new calendar, said SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar.

(Organisations working for the cause of religion and humanity to Makkar seems the reserve vote banks like Sant Samaj and the similar others of the respective ruling party in power who never follow the Sikh Maryada i.e. Sikh Code of Conduct of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib)

WILL SIKHS UNITE WITH HINDU NATION?

  1. Were the SGPC chief, Avatar Singh Makkar, and the Damdami Taksal chief, Harnam Singh Dhuma expert to approve the modifications in the Nanakshahi Calendar?
  2.
  3. Did the so-called Sant Samaj and the similar others supporting the amendments in ‘The Nanakshahi calendar’ ever follow the Sikh Rehat Maryada i.e. Sikh Code of Conduct of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib?
  4.
  5. Was the Sikh Vichar Manch wrong to state at this junction also, “The opposition was dummy of the Sikh bodies or created by SGPC itself from the within as usually happen in such cases –‘The justification and defence of SGPC to change ‘The Nanakshahi calendar’ to the Bikrami calendar in face of the opposition, looked as of the dummy Sikh bodies or created by SGPC itself from the within as usual, were eyewash only’.  All BJP and Congress roads and their pressure groups (Both are one and the same thing) lead to the Indian central agencies and the Sikhs including SGPC and the  state government of Punjab have no option to exercise in such matters or in the Sikh affairs of importance, the rest all is politics and useless to discuss?”

Changes will unite Sikhs, says Takht Jathedar

WILL SIKHS UNITE WITH HINDU NATION?

The Jathedar of Akal Takhat Sahib did not feel necessity to call a meet of the Jathedars again

Is “The Nanakshahi calendar” copy of ‘the Bikrami calendar’ now?

As was expected, after getting the approval of the executive committee of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) on amendments in the Nanakshahi calendar, Sri Akal Takht Jathedar ratifies SGPC decision on the Nanakshahi Calendar

It seems the executive committee of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) approved the amendments in the Nanakshahi calendar without suggesting any change in the decision taken earlier by the Jathedars of the five Takhats.

For the reason, it was obvious, Giani Gurbachan Singh, the Jathedar of Akal Takhat Sahib did not feel necessity  to call a meet of the Jathedars of the five Takhts again, but arranged for a quorum by inviting four Granthis of Darbar Sahib to endorse the decision in this case as reported.

The justification and defence of SGPC to change ‘The Nanakshahi calendar’ to the Bikrami calendar in face of the opposition, looked as of the dummy Sikh bodies or created by SGPC itself from the within as usual, were eyewash only.

Impartial Attitude Expected

The Biased Demand and Similarly, Any Biased Decision in Such Cases Could Be Disastrous For the Unity and the Centralization of Sikhs

Please be impartial.

Any biased decision in such cases could be disastrous for the unity and the centralization of Sikhs.

When in such or the similar cases, the demanded opportunity of hearing and decision expected were with a biased mind and the conclusion expected was also already given like earlier noticed in a demand, “that Punjab Government should be dismissed and fresh elections should be held as present government has lost the confidence of the people of the state of Punjab” then, it means there was no further scope left, what for, the inquiry be held in such cases”?

As was in the light of above observation, “SIKH INSAAF LEHAR” to highlight the injustice was seemed nothing but was only a demand to bring the another party in power, rest to say that ‘the injustice done to Sikhs and the failure of the successive governments to protect the interests of Sikhs and Sikhism from Anti-Sikh elements’ were only politics and an eyewash tactics being played by such pressure group(s), politically aligned to some party of their liking.

Such demands were never raised impartially as experienced that’s why were serving no purpose to protect the interests of Sikhs and Sikhism from Anti-Sikh elements as stated above.

The similar should not be the position of organizations opposing the tempering of the NanakShahi calendar.

Identify The Sikhs, Who Is Who?

By Balbir Singh Sooch, Advocate, Ludhiana

It was very positive and the encouraging step for Sikhs that ‘Panj Piaras’ comprising former Jathedars of Takhts and granthis, Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti, Giani Kewal Singh, Prof Manjit Singh, Giani Charan Singh and Giani Narinder Singh submit Darshan Singh’s clarification on his controversial remarks to Jathedar, Akal Takht, Giani Gurbachan Singh on 25 December 2009 to avoid any friction in and or division of Sikhs and for the permanent solution of the issues of the community which must be sorted out by forming a religious panel.

Whoever was participating in burning effigies etc due to factionalism and divides Sikhs, was worthy to be called a Sikh?

Was it not the behaviour of all politically motivated Sikhs, divided on the lines of factionalism within Sikhs at the instance of anti-Sikh forces or of their own reasons?

Were the only non-party and the non-politically motivated Sikhs not true Sikhs now?

Identify the Sikhs, who is who?  Also read, the Sikh Vichar Manch’s an analysis about ‘The Political Conferences at Shaheedi Sammelan’ as under:

The Political Conferences at Shaheedi Sammelan -An Analysis

FATEHGARH SAHIB: The Sikh Vichar Manch was of the view after assessing and analyzing the political conferences at Shaheedi sammelan on the historic occasion of 305th martyrdom day that the congress or any other party through the central agencies shall not play to field and use seriously their spineless and non-poisonous snakes, so-called Panthic leaders against the Shiromani Akali Dal headed by Badals in the coming Shiromani Gurdawara Parbhanbdak Committee (SGPC) elections.

There is possibility of mutual internal adjustment i.e. friendly match with “Panthic leaders” on a few seats to project the image that the SGPC elections held in a very healthy atmosphere and is the result of mature democratic process.

The government of India stands exposed badly for adopting mean and deceptive tactics also in religious matters and for the reasons, neither seems in a mood to vitiate the religious atmosphere nor would be now appreciated as a vitiator in Punjab

“SIKH INSAAF LEHAR” Seems Only Politics And An Eyewash Tactics

Balbir Singh Sooch, Advocate, Ludhiana

When in the demanded inquiry with a biased mind and the conclusion expected was also already given, “that Punjab Government should be dismissed and fresh elections should be held as present government has lost the confidence of the people of the state of Punjab”, then, it means there is no further scope left, what for, the inquiry be held in this case”?

Such demands were never raised impartially that’s why serving no purpose to protect the interests of Sikhs and Sikhism from Anti-Sikh elements as alleged.

The Sikh Vichar Manch was of the view that the Attorney Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, Legal Advisor Sikhs For Justice personally did not apply his own mind while preparing the press release-note, minus sincerity, for demanding the high level judicial inquiry by a sitting High Court Judge to be conducted into the December 5 Ludhiana incident in which one (INNOCENT SHAHEED BHAI) DARSHAN SINGH (Boparai Lohara) was killed and many Sikhs were injured by the firing of the Punjab Police.

Can Ashutosh Maharaj Or The Sikhs Or Any Other Agency To Remove The Misunderstanding?

What were the truth and the conspiracy?

Both reported versions were contradictory as under.

Can Ashutosh Maharaj or the Sikhs to remove the misunderstanding or any other agency?

The truth must be brought on surface to amend the party at fault and guilty.

Has Ashutosh Maharaj posing himself to be a reincarnation of Guru Nanak or only the Sikhs claim, then, it can be gossip?

If Ashutosh Maharaj himself was openly confirming it and claiming so, then, it should to be taken seriously that as to why the migrant, intentionally and deliberately, was suggesting irritatingly to Sikhs to adopt him as their first Guru, Guru Nanak?”

VERSUS

Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma added the bone of contention among them was that he used to say in his discourses that the Sikhs were not the real Khalsa.

We have a video footage to prove the allegations against him.

According to Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma, chief of Damdami Taksal, the Sikh organisation, his (Ashutosh) followers popularise him as a reincarnation of Guru Nanak Dev, Lord Rama and Jesus Christ as reported. By Balbir Singh Sooch, Advocate, Ludhiana

Another Theory And Much Evidence Exist- Air India Bombing
 On June 23, 1985

Does it mean that there was much evidence exists against the Indian government operatives working (The Indian secret agencies) hand in glove with traitors (the Indian agents as traitors to let down and defame Sikhs worldwide in order to justify the Sikh massacre and also Sikh killings thereafter in India) from the local Sikh community were behind the bombings?

But another theory and much evidence exist that Indian government operatives working hand in glove with traitors from the local Sikh community were behind the bombings.

Points at glance

Police have long believed the Air India Flight 182 was destroyed by Sikh separatists in retaliation of Operation Bluestar;

But another theory and much evidence exist that Indian government operatives working hand in glove with traitors from the local Sikh community were behind the bombings.

“The long delayed and largely irrelevant public inquiry report on the 1985 Air India bombing is expected to be highly critical of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police”, William Elliott, Commissioner of RCMP and a noted legal professional, said on Sunday.

Why only generals as Governor of Sikh State Punjab

http://sikhsangat.org/2009/11/why-only-generals-as-governor-of-sikh-state-punjab/

The projected opponents of Akalis, named as hardliners or the militants
are opposing, weakening Akalis and terrorizing common Sikhs openly

The appointments in the manner are nothing
but a part of the inhuman national policy or strategy

Punjab’s long history of having retired Army chiefs or retired bureaucrats, including police officers, as its Governor conveys a clear cut message worldwide that such States are, always considered disturbed States in India and, secretly and directly ruled through the Indian constitutional agents ruthlessly and fraudulently in the unitary system constitutionally.

Except a few among the top leadership, generally, the Akalis were always seen suspiciously. The projected opponents of Akalis, named as hardliners or the militants are opposing, weakening them (Akalis) and terrorizing common Sikhs openly at the instance of the Indian central agencies otherwise, they are useless.

The Akalis when come in power waste most of their time proving them patriots in order to remove the suspicion, sidelining and ignoring the problems of Sikhs.

The appointments of governors in the manner are nothing, but a part of the inhuman national policy or strategy, remained in action and experienced so.

The opposition to the appointments of such Governors by persons like Simranjit Singh Mann, President of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) etc is routine and customary or at the behest of their masters, for the reasons best known to them, being tutored and remotely controlled for the purpose, to keep them in the limelight alleging them as Sikh hard liners, to the disadvantage of Sikhs and for the advantage of anti-Sikh forces.

Jarnail Singh Might Have Rightly Received Legal Advice

The ‘Emotional response to murderous apathy’ is a good note about the state of mind of Jarnail Singh after his impelled action, may be called ‘emotional response’ i.e. ‘hurled the shoe at the Home Minister P Chidambaram'.

To be the law abiding citizen like Jarnail Singh, there is nothing wrong to receive legal advice and to behave reasonably, not always challengingly in the system.

To advise him contrary to it should have been singling him out for punishment and that’s would have been injustice with him.

His state of mind must also be fluctuating because of the violations of the ethics of journalism in this case.

Moreover, he should have been only behaved in the same manner after the action, in face of the deceptive politics in India.

No-doubt, it is his heroic action and he is also coolly and nicely justifying the act, keeping the ethics of his profession in mind.

Punjab Industry Secretary caught taking bribe

http://www.indianexpress.com/news/Punjab-Industry-Secy-caught-taking-bribe/539498

Nobody could be honest in the Indian unitary system!

Two-day police remand for Janjua
http://www.tribuneindia.com/2009/20091111/punjab.htm#1

Punjab Industry Secretary caught taking bribe- Two-day police remand for Janjua- Though, I never met Mr. Vijay Kumar Janjua after 1989-90, but then, his devotion to duty and the honesty was unchallengeable, similarly I had seen initially, some other I.A.S. officers exceptionally and honestly performing at Ludhiana.

One advocate told me yesterday, Mr. Vijay Kumar Janjua knew you very well and you also know him. What is your reaction now? Surprisingly, I said, really, is he the man caught accepting the bribe? I don’t believe.

If, there was no plantation, intentionally and deliberately, to fix him,   contrary to the allegations of his wife, then, it can be safely concluded that nobody could be honest in the Indian unitary system, constitutionally and politically, due to the various corrupt pressure groups and the politicians.  Even, the officials or team caught him, may not be honest in the system.

Then, I narrated the following story to that advocate, who gave me the information:

As to how the Indian corruption goes on?

The honesty of bureaucracy must act as a mask of corrupt politicians

The honesty and hard work of bureaucracy must act as a mask of corrupt, incapable, inefficient and useless politician(s), otherwise, such bureaucratic officers getting fame and publicity, because of their better performance and doing justice to general public, never tolerated in the Indian immature democracy and or spoiled system, part of unitary form of system,  as, was the case in hand.

Sometime, it had happened reverse to it also. By copying and noticing the politicians that they (officers) are being used by them, they themselves act more corrupt and decide as to why to act as a conduit for the politicians and start directly dealing in the corrupt business and become millionaire within days.

Under the circumstances, the politicians in their respective positions feel helpless and agitated. The transfer of SSP Kunwar Vijay Pratap could also be taken as a result of jealousy by the corrupt politician(s) that is a blot on the Indian democracy.

If, my observation is also true, then definitely, we have to live for a longer period under the shadow of spoiled system and the false democracy. God may help us.

Dear Editor,

It seems a set back to BJP not to Badal or his Govt. Because, ultimately the image of BJP shall lower down in the eyes of Public especially of all Amritsari.

The Honest and Truthful SSP Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh shall always be respected for the reasons of his honesty and truthfulness as observed by all Amritsari and so long the persons like you encouraging him to remain so.

To keep the State Govt. intact, the decision to transfer him can not be said politically wrong. SSP Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh must be understanding more than us, the political compulsions of Badal under such circumstances and situation.

Here, I am expressing my views politically not morally in the interest of State govt. BJP is partner and also in the habit of misusing its power by pressure tactics.

Under the circumstances, why to advise or suggest Badal ji to act morally and perish politically or blame him for not acting morally.

It shall never be considered or to be taken as punishment posting of SSP Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh in view of his honesty and truthfulness as stated.

Thanks for sending the information for my opinion.

The persons like Sardar Harvinder Singh Phoolka are alive who take bold stand
without any hypocrisy and not hiding their identity like cowards

The bold disclosure and stand in the article, Lone Sikh ranger still beavers away (25 years after Indira Gandhi’s assassination) by Sardar Harvinder Singh Phoolka

“I knew what I was doing. Taking on politicians and police officers was never going to be an easy task especially when both were involved. And considering the immense power they wielded, it made my job that much tougher,” says Phoolka………

“Most of the cases against politicians and police officers are over. They have already resulted in acquittals. Only four to five cases are left now like that of Congress leaders Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler,” he said……..”

“Fight for justice to riot victims, now is just for symbolism”, said lawyer Harvinder Singh Phoolka.

1984 killings of Sikhs were not only riots but was ‘Sikhs Carnage i.e. Genocide of Sikhs’. It is fully described, as how they were targeted and singled out, in detail in the article in Panjabi as under and please link to read:

We should never oppose “those who frankly admit that whatever, they do, they do it only professionally that’s to earn, rest all is secondary and hypocrisy for them, may be in the name of religious or the community service and, they openly say people may call it service or not, while doing so in the line of our business”.

Though I am not from business class but, I do welcome the frankness. Otherwise, it remained my view that earning out of creating confrontation within Sikhs and outside and the  cheating in the name of service to religion or Sikh community must not be tolerated and condemned under all circumstances especially by the forces doing anything under the garb of the Dhande Di Sikhi (those who become Sikhs for commercial motives) and Bhekh Di Sikhi (those who accept Sikhism formally to imitate Sikhs for material gains and to exploit Sikhism for their ignoble ends).

If there are any such acts of meanness under the garb of Sikhi or Sikh politics, are further deplorable and must be out rightly rejected as such acts are more harmful for Sikhs living peacefully especially abroad.

By some ms514 (hiding identity) on October 28, 2009 at 12:51 pm, rightly pointed out about me because I could not associate with any of the organisations (for fund raising) otherwise to me there is nothing exceptional in them which I have not done or could not do under the name of Sikh Vichar Manch.

Whoever, gives funds to any organisation, feels that is important for him. Similarly seems to be the case of ms514.

To ms514, “there are organizations like Voices for Freedom that are addressing the issues of human rights and things related to India, which are all very relevant and important to the Sikh community”. I have not noticed their any meaningful work except releasing  some  photos of Sikhs and conducting a few  seminars in Delhi, Chandigarh and at far away places from Punjab in the respective government rest houses, buildings etc, otherwise nothing much heard about such organisations. Other groups/organisations named by him, are politically affiliated to toe their respective party lines and there is nothing much to do any work for them to raise voice for justice impartially.

When I said, “like organisations seem to be roots in India directly or indirectly though any of their functionaries/activists personally never contacted or consulted me here regarding Sikh affairs”, I meant to say that I don’t recoganise by face such activists though their roots are in India,  must also be doing secret meetings in Mumbai like big cities, with their counter parts operating in different colors, strategically to highlight their provided services for Sikh community, may not on ground but on papers for fund raising as they do by sending emails to Sikh Vichar Manch.

Such organisations operating within and outside must have definite information that the Sikh Vichar Manch is not fund raising organisation/forum and could not be of any utility for the purpose to them. They must also know that the Sikh Vichar Manch is a thought provoking forum for justice openly but they can not do so in the manner. Under the circumstances, they should have never felt any use to see me by wasting their valuable business hours.

I never expect anything from such organisations as experienced in the past remaining in the field.

Again, I wish that the reality must come out and be brought on surface about such organisations operating within and outside in order to maintain peace and the law and order in the world. In case ms514 is against this demand, I can’t help him.

The Dishonest Sikhs And What  A High Degree Of Meanness?

That’s All, Indian Agencies Desired  To Harm Sikhs

Balbir Singh Sooch

Our stress was and is always remained only on one point that Sikhs were/are good soldiers-fighters nothing else. Sikhs fought in so and so wars and at so many places sincerely and obediently. What about them who say so and what was and is their role and contribution  presently? Shameful!!!

You all trying to communicate the message silently that, otherwise Sikhs are agents, useless…..and unfit to rule. What are the rubbish arguments illustrating and repeating always.  What is  it a high degree of meanness?

That’s all, Indian agencies desired and wanted from all of you in the present context to harm Sikhs.

We have to say whoever promotes and supports such arguments-message is provoker and endlessly mean, working to get killed selected Sikhs with the understanding and on the dictates of anti-Sikh forces.

To whom you people are inciting or provoking? Was the provocation not be considered by the traitors from abroad to the persons like Balbir Singh Sooch that they must die without living intelligently and comfortably as Sikhs?

Some say like an idiot , “If due to jealousy you can not tolerate others and their thinking, then please you try to draw a long line than others”. What type of the assigned task they have in hand and provoking accordingly? Is it not like sitting in heaven and writing, talking all non-sense to the advantage of  Indian agencies and for the disadvantage of Sikhs? Who are they?

We know history more than you people, now, while staying in safe heavens and are acting as exploiters, foolishly ……  with an idea of or misusing offerings donated in the name of Guru and continuing the practice of collecting funds on the directives of their masters i.e. Indian agencies who helped them purposely  to settle abroad.

Mostly people, who under the garb of Sikhi shifted so abroad  and carried with them the dirty tactics and the teachings of Indian politics in order to pollute the atmosphere everywhere. It is always true, ‘Old habits die hard’. The people like me can’t be party to such dirty politics or the mean tactics in any manner.

Come to Punjab, let us discuss the Sikh affairs and advise your masters, the agencies accordingly. You must also try to learn and remember more seriously the present and the recent history of Sikhs in Punjab and elsewhere, before playing and repeating the meanness.

Here “heroes” stand exposed, the criminals survived and the real ‘Heroes’ were eliminated-liquidated or shown disappeared long back, not by Badal policies but by the inhuman policies of the Central agencies’. Badal and some of his associates including Dr. Manmohan Singh, the Prime Minister of India may be among the sincere and obedient soldiers openly but not  like you guys hiding and targeting the Sikhs and mischievously disturbing the peace of Punjab-Sikh Home Land always through a few selected hired and the puppets and they, now and then, are changing their face of organisations under different heads.

You all are aware of it, now, playing, intentionally and deliberately, always a naughty game on one pretext or the other from abroad and within, at the instance of or in connivance with some persons, party, group etc inimical towards Sikhs and Sikhism.

God  may help all of you but others ought to remain cautious.

Sikh Struggle And Its Beneficiaries

Balbir Singh Sooch

“The period from 1978 to 1995 was of the “Sikh struggle” for only those warriors who fought bravely and sacrificed in encounters without using humans as shields, the Sikhs eliminated and liquidated  in false encounters and or shown disappeared and the innocent Sikhs also killed and their families ruined to terrorize Sikhs in a planned manner without any justice under the supervision and the pressure of the Indian central agencies with active support of traitors, now, staying within and outside in different colors (becoming threat to the world peace), presently being projected heroes by the agencies misleadingly and with an idea to mislead the coming generations, though after the period, the police atrocities continue noticed or un-noticed without any check”.

Similar is the case with other struggles in India and elsewhere, why to name the movements of Maoists, Naxalites, Taliban, LTTE, Khalistanis etc as it is not surprising to the enlightened people, because the cunning and the opportunists in connivance with State welcome such maltreatment to their people for their own promotion and to be beneficiaries always as experienced, so far, from the so-called struggles in Punjab.

It may not be exaggeration to say now, on my part, that mostly, such struggles are State sponsored and die their own death, whenever, State desired to bring an end. Someone may say, it is one sided view, not always true but I am sure after facing the inhuman ‘Indian National Policy’.

Such struggles remain without any result, only help the State to divert the attention of public from the real issues meant for their welfare and at the same time help the corrupt ruler to rule over  masses with cruelty for a long period.

God may help to the sympathizers of such movements to prove me wrong.

The award of the Nobel Peace Prize to President Barack Obama

“Though, the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize has seriously burdened the President of United States Barack Obama to further bring an honor to the United States, but, he is not a spent force and presently, the most deserving powerful authority for the prize and the promising world personality to hit the target to fulfill the aspirations of the world”.

The award could not be seen as an end in itself for him as correctly understood by him when he said, "I’ll accept this award as a call to action”.

For him, the prize is only symbolic and he has to confirm it by his actions.

Ex servicemen hail improved pension

'One rank, one pension' for officers, too

‘One rank, one pension’ for officers, too -The decision is now nearer to the goal of “one rank, one pension” demand of nearly 1.5 million personnel, Defence Minister A K Antony said during question hour.

Now, pensioners stand divided in   two categories, one set of category of pensioners shall receive pre-October, 1997 scale and another set is getting post October 10, 1997 scale and there is no parity between pension drawing pre and post October 10, 1997.

“With regard to the separate pay commission, the minister said it had been agreed, and as and when necessary it would be set up in the future” and “after considering all aspects of the issue, the committee made several recommendations to substantially improve pensionary benefits of Personnel Below Officer Rank and Commissioned Officers, which have been accepted by the government," the minister added.

But, the language used, “the committee made several recommendations and the separate pay commission, the minister said it had been agreed, and as and when necessary it would be set up in the future” is vague and also there is no time bound promise and must be said with much more clarity without any ambiguity to build further confidence in the present government within its 100 days.

Legal Opinion-Consensual Sex Freedom Plus The Actions Humanly

Delhi High Court Sets Historic Benchmark. Sexuality Equality-The consensual sex freedom or otherwise any actions humanly are mainly connected with questions of difference between the rights and wrongs or the truth and the falsehood in the context of the privacy and the dignity of each individual. By trespassing the privacy and the individual dignity of consented parties is always wrong and unwarranted under the law. From the judgment, it looks as basic structure of our constitution was ignored in India so far. UN called the judgment as a land mark ruling in India from human rights angle and to encourage more HIV victims to come forward to seek treatment and information. Now, it looks as India also slowly submitting before the world opinion and agreeing to reduce the gap between the truth and the falsehood, preached hypocritically by many means in India. The worldwide joyous mood and opinion of the section of society must be honored and respected. The freedom is also not without riders.

Its unethical decision of the court.  We can just say that the court went for cheap popularity by giving unnatural decision.

REPLY

What is ethical legally, keeping in mind, my views and yours? Unethical for whom, for you and I or the parties involved for preventing trespassing in their privacy and dignity? I am of the opinion that the decision will definitely reduce the gap between the truth and the falsehood, preached hypocritically by many means in India and elsewhere. The court has not granted absolute freedom but strict restrictions are imposed in the Judgment, normally not followed by the consensual parties.

Who is testing whose patience, only time may answer?

Chief Parliamentary Secretary Harish Rai Dhanda and Deputy Speaker Satpal Gosain constantly are monitoring the work may bring a ray of hope and that to be expected optimistically but there is no permanent solution of sincere and smooth functioning of the government departments in that direction, in sight so far.

The deterrence effect of their monitoring seems without much positive results and effect as reported and its reasons are very much in the knowledge of bureaucracy who is habitual to face and experienced to tackle such monitoring of work without bringing any reform and improvement in their style of functioning or in the rotten system.

Who is testing whose patience, only time may answer?

The routine and the seasonal orders remain in files or obeyed on papers to show the utilization of the funds meant for the purpose without any effective or proper action on ground or the orders lapse after the lapse of time automatically.

What could the expectations under the mindset/ situation?

The Revenue Minister Ajit Singh Kohar’s admission rather confession that one has to grease palms to get their work done like sending a notice to public for the benefit of high-ups, supporting their cause that the chain of corruption to exist permanently. Be cautious!

After the State terrorism against the State, the democratic terrorism may come into action against them (the State Terrorism and State).

The old habits die hard and the most corrupt including the brokers of different category or class never abandon their pressure tactics of supporting strike in their own style for maintaining their status quo of corruption permanently.

Have the revenue officials reasonable apprehension of danger to life or only their morbid fears due to their direct involvement in corruption?

The miscreants and the similar elements are also out and trying to settle personal scores and the words to that effect as was the discussion of the day.

old black mailing empty threats or tactics of revenue officials

‘We’ll expose dirty land deals of ruling politicians’ are old black mailing tactics of revenue officials as remained their threat in such agitations. The politicians were never exposed by them as almost all revenue officials from top to bottom possess more immovable and movable property that’s beyond lawful resources.

I personally handed over ‘Govt officer thrashed by Akalis in Punjab’ news and all comments, when found the revenue officials sitting on Dharna idle, non-seriously and gossiping, seem to be waiting for the outcome of the meeting that was being held for settlement but all in vain till now.

So far, the question of magnitude of corruption is concerned, it will be unjustified and difficult to single out them alone to punish in the manner and authorize to this kind of State terrorism against the state where governance supposed to be as per rule of law and people must be governed through mature democracy.

No prudent man will recommend or justify on any ground such lawlessness.

Purely a concocted story from New Delhi

Purely a concocted story from New Delhi:  to mislead and befool Sikhs and in order to project the ‘Killer’ as a hero of Sikhs: See contents as under:

“Col. Gurinder Singh Ghuman, then a Major and a Sikh officer, was posted in Amritsar with the 46 Armoured Regiment was eventually penalized by his superiors after military intelligence reported that the officer had folded his hands during Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale’s funeral. His contention that he had done so “only out of respect for the prayers being recited” at the time was not accepted.”

Similar related and or the planted stories about such heroes could be checked in Sikh history books.

Sant Jarnail Singh Bhinderanwale remembered by whom?

By Balbir Singh Sooch, Advocate, Ludhiana

The story  and the version of “Col. Gurinder Singh Ghuman, then a Major (most probably then he was captain) and a Sikh officer, was posted in Amritsar with the 46 Armoured Regiment was eventually penalized by his superiors after military intelligence reported that the officer had folded his hands during Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale’s funeral. His contention that he had done so “only out of respect for the prayers being recited” at the time was not accepted. He now practices as an advocate at the Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh must be taken and considered cautiously.

If he is the same Ghuman who took active part to destroy ‘Sri Akal Takhat Sahib’ in June 1984 obeying his superiors as duty was paramount and the religion always remained within the four walls of his home according to him, “he ordered or used Tank from a distance for bombardment to ‘Sri Akal Takhat Sahib’.

“Then, he was boasting on his success saying, “that ‘Sri Akal Takhat Sahib’ was nothing but a spider net of Jarnail Singh Bhinderanwale and his men” so far I recollect the hearsay, heard immediately after the attack.”

No doubt, he was also looking worried and asking as to what the Sikhs may be thinking hereafter. But, then silence and neutrality was the answer as nobody seen appreciating him.

However, his presence and the active participation can not be denied in the ‘Operation Blue Star’ i.e. Indian Army attack on  Sri Akal Takhat, Durbar Sahib (Golden Temple), the destruction and the untraceable theft of Sikh religious valuable manuscripts and the historical books are to remain unforgettable inflicted pains being part of the history in so named independent India.

Jarnail Singh Bhinderanwale

Was Bhinderanwale shot through

New Delhi: An army officer has narrated an account of finding the dead body of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale that belies the impression that he was killed in a combat while fighting with the Indian armed forces.

The body had a clear bullet hole through the head, according to Col. Gurinder Singh Ghuman, then a young major deployed with the armoured brigade at Amritsar in Punjab province of India during Operation Bluestar launched to get rid of terrorists entrenched in the Sikh's most revered religious place. He recounts there was a second, visible injury, possibly a fracture, on his right calf and his leg dangled at an impossible angle.

Col Ghuman vividly remembers seeing the man who had inspired thousands of Sikhs in challenging the might of the Indian State through deadly and armed resistance just hours earlier.

“He lay just inside the Clock Tower Entrance on a large slab of ice, his right leg dangling over the edge and a bullet hole in his head. Beside Bhindranwale, on the white marble floor, were two other dead bodies. I later learnt these belonged to Bhai Amrik Singh and Bhai Thara Singh, both top lieutenants of the Khalistani chieftain,” he said.

The officer and his second-in-command – one Capt. Bhardwaj – stepped around the corpses and proceeded down the short flight of stairs into the Golden Temple where further horrors awaited.

“Just as we entered the Parikrama (walkway around the sacred pool of nectar), we spotted about 30 to 40 dead bodies in a bloody heap in one of the verandahs. Further down, towards the Langar (community kictchen) there was another pile of bodies,” he said also remembering three Vijayanta tanks positioned adjacent to the Bada Deep Singh memorial with their cannons pointed towards the near completely destroyed building of the Akal Takht.

The two officers counted over a hundred dead civilians on the walkway. “They were mostly young and old men with the occasional body of a female devotee in the heaps. It was beginning of June in an uncommonly hot summer. Though just past 11:00 am the bodies were already starting to decompose. The odour of death and acrid gunpowder was all pervasive.”

But Col. Ghuman and his colleague did not spot any soldiers among the dead so they drove out to the Military Hospital where he recalls they counted 42 men, mostly young soldiers.

“Around 2:30 am that morning Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, Amrik Singh and Thara Singh were brought in on a vehicle. They were accorded a proper funeral with a priest there to recite an ardas (Sikh prayer). Bhindranwale’s brother – then a subedar major with the corps signal regiment at Jalandhar was brought in to identify the body before it was consigned to flames,” the Colonel said.

Col. His contention that he had done so “only out of respect for the prayers being recited” at the time was not accepted. He now practices as an advocate at the Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh.

Col. Ghuman says, though devout Sikh, his role during Operation Bluestar was part of his duties as an army officer. “To me duty was paramount. My religion always remained within the four walls of my home.”

India plans troop cut in Kashmir as Obama letter reaches-Submission: Rem

Solution to Kashmir issue left to India, Pak: Rice

Sir,

From this statement, "It's a flashpoint. It's a place that has sparked conflict in the region. And were there a resolution of it, it would open up the region to greater prosperity as well as greater peace,"......... "We're encouraged by what they've been doing in terms of bus links and the ability of people to move. We're encouraged by the discussions that they're having".

It is very much clear that US is mediator in its own style and it is also the need of the hour as India and Pakistan has kept Kashmir problem as a flashpoint of conflict due to their weaknesses and immaturity but, intentionally and deliberately, to keep on diverting the attention of the people from main issues of neglected prosperity i.e. in the field of education, health includes pure water, sanitation, employment, environment and peace & justice.

Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale rightfully remembered

The life story of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale is a very painful part of Indian history and nobody could forget it. It shall always remind all the unanswered questions of planned Sikhs Genocide in independent India and to Know India!

The SGPC installed the portrait of Sant ji in the historical Sikh Museum at Durbar Sahib (Golden Temple), Sri Amritsar on November 29, 2007

To Know India! Oh! Genocide of Sikhs and Generation Transformation; what are you murmuring? Where, how and by whom? Of minorities including Sikhs in India! Yes; through the so-called Babas-Saints and their henchmen!!! You mean to say in the name of Dharma gurus! Yes; who planned and when? The central agencies entered through Sant Bhindranwale-Taksal; Jarnail Sant Bhindranwale was too late to understand in Punjab; then what happened? Sacrificed! The sacrifice of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale would never be out of the Sikh history in the context of independent India. The SGPC installed the portrait of Sant ji in the historical Sikh Museum at Durbar Sahib (Golden Temple), Sri Amritsar on November 29, 2007.

Hope of return for riot-tainted Sikhs

All the exiles are desperate to join their families in India

Questions Left to be Solved and Agitating the Minds

It seems “The Most wanted, Black Listed etc Sikhs” are no more required abroad to perform the assigned duties or act as terrorists. Now, it looks as on behalf of the government of India, the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) and the Shiromani Akali Dal have offered to stand guarantee for these Sikhs.

Were they allowed fleeing or were sent to the UK or the Canada or the US and to the other rich countries for want of their guarantors or for some other ulterior motives?

Or

Were the task of raising funds in the name of “Khalistan” and or the collections through ‘Guru’s Golak’, the offerings collected in the name of Guru over and do the offerings stand properly distributed among their guarantors and other anti-Sikh agents including so called or named separatists and radicals actively operating in India to terrorize Sikhs so far?

These questions are left to be solved and agitating the minds of persons like me, for whom the Sikh struggle or terrorism was neither politics nor profession/business to loot, insult and inhumanly treat their own people especially Sikhs as being continuing so.

Are the frustrated required to be brought to Punjab now, for some another naughty game to be played with Sikhs?

Hope of return for riot-tainted Sikhs

USA was wrong to issue the advisory! Or INDIA rightly objected and angry!

God knows what the truth was! Who is following whom?

By Balbir Singh Sooch

In case USA issued advisory citing terror in view of the arrest of a suspected Lashkar-e-Tayyaba operative, identified as Mohammed Umer Madni, from near the Qutb Minar in the capital, then USA was wrong to issue the advisory and India rightly objected and angry.

As being said, “The advisory was released by the US embassy which called it a routine matter” or “it should be read other way around that such lies of arrests of suspected dreaded extremists, the plantation of the similar news etc were always routine matter in India”.

For example, the Sikh struggle or the terrorism ended in 1992-93 and thereafter, the news of the killings, the arrests of dreaded “Khalistanis” and about free movements of terrorists were routine matter in newspapers even till today, to eliminate and terrorize the people especially Sikhs in Punjab. Is it not part of State terrorism or diplomacy of terrorism in India? Similar was the case with Muslims in India.

Whether such advisory releases were State terrorism or diplomacy of terrorism of USA or Such lies of arrests of suspected dreaded extremists, the plantation of the similar news etc were always routine matter in India. God knows what the truth was! Who is following whom?

However, despite of all this fact based argument from my side, keeping in view the safety, security and views of a reader: “Vishal, Gurgaon, says: Sir, some kind of warning were also issued by USA before Mumbai attacks. These warnings were ignored and we suffered the severest attack on our nation. I sincerely hope that this warning is not taken lightly and due concerns are taken for the security of our nation” in mind, we should never ignore the operative part of the news i.e. message as under:

“The United States mission in India wishes to urgently remind all US citizens resident in or traveling to India that there is a high threat from terrorism throughout India”. “As terror attacks are a serious and growing threat, US citizens are urged to always practice good security, including maintaining a heightened situational awareness and a low profile.”

“American citizens have also been asked to consider the level of security present when visiting public places like religious sites, or choosing hotels, restaurants, entertainment and recreation venues as the latest “urgent warden message” or travel advisory urged Americans in India to be vigilant at all times and monitor local news reports. It further asked its citizens to vary their routes and times in carrying out daily activities”.

Girl who plucked eyebrow not true Sikh, says HC

HC: Courts can decide religious conflicts

“Even the administrators and the employees of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee and their families including Sikh politicians are being questioned, almost daily, not following the Sikh model code of conduct”

By Balbir Singh Sooch, Advocate, Ludhiana

There is nothing to feel disappointed or jubilant about the full bench of justices JS Khehar, Jasbir Singh and Ajay Kumar Mittal’s judgment as they have given only interpretation i.e. judgment, leaning on the side of a text-based, that is more conservative definition of who is a true Sikh without following the changed circumstances and the true spirit of Sri Guru Granth Sahib.

The hon’ble justices did not of their own add or subtracted or suggested anything suitable, may be done in the Act regarding the defining the definition of a Sikh under the changed circumstances in the light of Sri Guru Granth Sahib.

Though, the judgment may be looking like endorsing a hardline stand by high priests of Sikhism who barred a young girl admission in a minority institution on grounds that she violated a fundamental tenet of the religion by plucking her eyebrows, the Punjab and Haryana high court on Saturday ruled that the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee was fully justified in doing so.

Hereafter, the rest is in the hand of the parliament to amend the Act, meant to define a Sikh under the changed circumstances or not. In case the conservative definition of a Sikh followed, even under the changed circumstances, then, the Sikhs (So named or called true Sikhs) have to disown their own Sikhs and their own family members, forbidding them from entering in any Gurdwara for religious ceremonies and or providing any services/sacrifices etc for Sikh community.

I restrain myself to say more on the subject due to the religious conservativeness and the intolerance prevailing all over and that being, deliberately and intentionally, allowed in the world for the nefarious designs and the unjustified political reasons.

The judiciary is helpless to interpret the Act (s) differently as, normally, such Acts enacted with a motive, only to serve the interest of political class without following the moderate approach with regard to religion (s) as is the case in hand.

As experienced and seen,  the admissions may be done keeping in view of the Sikh model code of conduct and for the guidance towards spiritual salvation timely but, in fact, not followed in practice, even in the colleges, claiming religion as there an essential and most fundamental component for admission.

Even the administrators and the employees of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee and their families including Sikh politicians are being questioned, almost daily, not following the Sikh model code of conduct.

If the judgment in view of my comments and views is to be justified, then, it amounts to that there are rarely true Sikhs left at least in India. To my mind, it was the only mischievous way to get the court judgment, getting declared that Sikhs are non-entity in India.

In view of the above, the judgment is nothing but anti-Sikhs and pro-anti Sikh agents. Be disappointed or be jubilant, it is up to Sikhs.

The Anti-Sikhs must celebrate and feel jubilant.

Under the situation, how far the judgment and the definition of who is a true Sikh are relevant, only time may answer.

Who was and is a Sikh?

Punjab's most wanted find refuge abroad

http://www.indianexpress.com/news/Punjab-s-most-wanted-find-refuge-abroad/467623

Shame on the part of the Indian intelligence agencies!

Who dare to question to the Indian authorities and asking to bring ‘the cat out of the bag’

What is notable is that these once-feared groups are still on the radar of Indian authorities.

Is it really true that these once-feared groups are still on the radar of Indian authorities? Difficult to believe!

Are they not kept in safe heavens to terrorize innocents by different means in India and elsewhere from within and abroad by the Indian agencies?

Are they not in touch with or never met directly or indirectly to the Indian Politicians, the sympathizers and the Indian agencies and or through similar elements like most wanted, less wanted, black listed cats etc and so on so far?

Could the Indian agencies not intercept their messages to their counter part sympathizers etc in India? If the Indian agencies, the politicians, the police and other similarly acting, deny all this, then only to say the shame on their part, the Indian agencies for helping terrorism to terrorize their own people and in order to disturb the world peace as a party, in different style, to State terrorism.

Are the so projected politicians etc in India from the militants not boasting their power of having links with so called most wanted militants as names mentioned here in the story? Are these the routine practices to publish such stories under some directions with ulterior motives?

Anyway, if it is all strategy of the Indian agencies to maintain peace tactically or for the reasons of other Indian style of deceptive motives by terrorizing the innocents etc with the help of so named militants abroad, then,  in that case, the persons like me are helpless to further raise any hue and cry for justice for the common people?

As alleged, ‘in fact there are over 300 Punjab militants — more than half of whom are living abroad in countries such as Pakistan, Germany and the US’ then what about remaining half?

Are the remaining half in India and terrorizing the innocents? Or is it all a concocted and planted story?

Questions are material but there is no hope of getting any answers from the authorities except terrorizing the innocents and the persons like me, who dare to question to the Indian authorities and asking to bring ‘the cat out of the bag’.

Deciphering Deras
http://www.indianexpress.com/news/deciphering-deras/465965/0

The article, ‘Deciphering Deras’ factually is very correct but scientifically and geometrically left explained and concluded as to who are at fault?

By Balbir Singh Sooch

Why is the mainstream Sikh clergy opposed to deras? It is of the view that the deras do not follow the tenets laid down by the Sikh gurus, including the one that there cannot be a living guru. The clergy also believes that the deras were bent upon distorting the teachings and were trying to wean away the faithfuls from Gurdwaras.

Why do people flock to deras in such large numbers? The members of Scheduled Castes and other “lower castes” nurse the grouse that they are discriminated against by the “higher caste” Sikhs. They also hold the view that the “higher caste” Sikhs, that is Jats, do not allow those from other castes to hold responsible positions in gurdwara management committees.

Who are the main followers of the deras? The majority of the members belong to the so-called “lower castes”, that is, members of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes. How are these different from mainstream Sikhism?  Most of these deras teach respect and reverence for Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of Sikhs, and other religious scriptures. However, they either provide their own interpretation or add to what is there in the Guru Granth Sahib.

How do the deras get power and their legitimacy? Since the followers of these deras go by the diktat of their living guru, they constitute solid vote banks. The visits and obeisance paid by top politicians give them legitimacy. Dera Sacha Sauda followers, for instance, are considered to be a force to reckon with in the Malwa region of Punjab.

The problem is more political than religious and the fault lies with the politicians in view of the following  conclusion based on facts given in the article, ‘Deciphering Deras’ by Vipin Pubby:

“The people involved in clash against each other in the name of religion i.e. Sikhism are disobeying Sri Guru Granth Sahib in its letter and spirit openly and follow it in violation as the true Sikhs should always believe in casteless and classless society including the one that there cannot be a living guru. The immoral politicians are supporting such mean characters that are disobeying the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib in their day today life. Here question is: as to how do the deras get power and their legitimacy? The answer is that the visits and obeisance paid by top politicians give Deras legitimacy”.

Dr. Kundan Singh Dhillon, the first Indian to receive the award from US President on July 4, 2009

Obama to honour PAU pharmacologist

Extract from the Selected Comments about the small book: Why India is Devoid of Rule of Law.

Annexure 1: Comments: I

  • Through "Why India is devoid of Rule of Law?", S. Balbir Singh Sooch has made a detailed differential diagnosis of the malady which is eating away the vitals of Indian society. Issues raised in this article are thought provoking and predictions for future, along with remedies to be undertaken if someone be interested to eliminate these evils. Certainly the dragons of inequality and exploitation go hand in hand. Unless the menace of inequality is mended (though there seems to be little chance for it) tranquility in this society cannot be expected.
  • For any healthy society, three things, namely, truthfulness, contentment and thoughtfulness are vital but all the three have taken to wings. So there is a race to amass wealth (Laxmi) by hook or crook. Even the most rich are not content with what they have. Unhealthy competition to amass wealth and property at any cost has knocked out the brains of the common citizens.
  • Criminalization of politics has played a vital role for the present state of sagging standards in all spheres of life. This article of S. Sooch is a timely warning for the well wishers of this society (if there be any) and something needs to be done right away.

Mr. Narendra Modi (BJP) Pitching further Sikhs against Muslims

Is Chief Ministers of Gujarat Mr. Narendra Modi (BJP) really supporter of Khalistan and Khalistanis?

Or

Was Mr. Narendra Modi (BJP) pitching further Sikhs against Muslims? When Narendra Modi says, “ The then Congress government rejected in 20 minutes the mercy petition and hang within 24 hours two Khalistani militants (Sukha and Jinda), convicted for assassinating the former Army Chief, Gen. A.S. Vaidya, because it involved those who did not constitute a vote bank,” as reported from a rally in Ludhiana.

Or

Did Mr. Narendra Modi (BJP) explain the Indian style of politics to appease majority to constitute a vote bank by pitching minorities against minorities for their (Minorities) deadly end, one way or the other as the politicians are trained and taught for the purpose in India and Mr. Narendra Modi (BJP) himself used the weapon with the help of State machinery for killing Muslims in Gujarat?

Mr. Narendra Modi (BJP) should have disclosed as to how two Khalistani militants execution was manipulated for their judicial murder when,   legally, there was no case made out against them as the prosecution story could not be proved judicially being totally false and fabricated.

Sikh Militants: LTTE killed Tamil civilians: surrendered Tiger leaders

The LTTE Tigers used their own Tamils i.e. the civilians as human shields in Sri Lanka as the breaking news and reports coming in even today, whereas in past, during the real encounters, Sikh militants never did so.

Then, only the Indian security forces used the civilians especially villagers as human shields but Sikh warriors died or escaped unharmed bravely after proving their skill in such encounters which is a matter of record and they (Sikhs militants as warriors) will always be remembered in the history.

But, the Sikh Vichar Manch could not restrain and appealed, “Please don’t inhumanly treat ‘LTTE Tigers’ in custody as were Sikhs treated and eliminated in India and the maltreatment to Sikhs continues though tactically. Presently, the civilians and ‘LTTE Tigers’ including Sri Lanka forces involved are facing very hard and the worse situation in the specific field area and they need all humanitarian help. Please all concerned must intervene for help, peace and justice.”

In both cases, let me also bow my head before the warriors who sacrificed wittingly or unwittingly for the cause though their sacrifices were/are cashed by the Indian government sponsored and named militants. The people acted under the garb of different names like parties, committees, associations, organisations submitted to follow the dictates of central agencies especially trained and meant for achieving the desired results.

India stands exposed and isolated in the world

Finally, It seems the whole world knew and India realized in particular that it was wrong and deceptive to kill and wipe out Sikhs inhumanly on one side, for the elusion of their Sikh sovereignty, and on the other hand encouraging and supporting the liberation movements in neighboring countries by all means to cause unrest and disturb peace there, for example as India acted so far in the case of LTTE tigers in Sri Lanka.

Was India not exposed and isolated in the world for the reasons of her deceptive and inhuman policies since long? Indian coastal security agencies are on high alert. What for?

“PM Manomohan Singh is not a Sikh’’

The Sikh Vichar Manch is further more narrow minded than the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee Chief Avtar Singh Makkar and did not consider anybody Sikh unless he or she is not directly or indirectly dealing with ‘ Guru’s Golak’ i.e. ‘Guru’s Charity Box’ for his own ends.

In the context and for the political reasons, SGPC Chief Avtar Singh Makkar rightly, after referring PM Manmohan Singh’s Sikh credentials, said that ‘the PM is not a Sikh’.

Otherwise, the Sikh Vichar Manch considers PM Manmohan Singh as a modern philosopher King of Plato-an exceptional and one of the rare of the rarest Sikhs in practice and in actions and is being considered as the most decorated among the Prime Ministers of the world.

Moreover, nobody shall be tolerated religiously and or else to go into SGPC Chief Avtar Singh Makkar’s Sikh credentials to judge him as a Sikh.

Who will be India's next prime minister?

In view of the prevailing situation and under the circumstances, Mayawati, 53, or Manmohan Singh, 76, could be and more acceptable prime minister of India.

Both are taught, seasoned, disciplined and know as how to follow and move in the line of old Indian national policy for political fame, may lead to cruelty as experienced in the past in case of the minorities especially the religion based minorities like Muslims, Sikhs etc for the appeasement of majority in India.

Let their political slogan may be any?

Moreover, it would prove a good message for the outer world regarding the changed circumstances and the true and mature democracy in India.

The Great Sikh Hope

The Great Sikh Hope http://thelangarhall.com/archives/2870 and to say good-bye to the Indian politics of deception in 21st century. The old fashioned hate generating issues like ‘Lord Rama’s existence’ are also deceptive and superstitious in nature as remained practice to highlight such issues cunningly and by the evil means and designs, to raise the emotions and sentiments against each other for weakening the people in India and at the same time, making them useless to interact and compete with the outer world.

The time has come to say good-bye—bye-bye-bye….. to the politics of deception in 21st century to enable people of India to interact and compete with the modern world.

A STORY OF STATE REPRESSION

The protests by all those, only, who supported silently the genocide of Sikhs in India. Why? Are they projecting deceptively and to whom?

The protests by all those elements, which supported silently the genocide of Sikhs, are being taken non-seriously by government for the maltreatment of Sikhs since long in India.

Indian state has provided the elements a space to function, issue pamphlets, organise seminars. In fact, it is generally known that many of these so called panthic organisations are routinely used by the police to issue statements……In many cases, the press hand-outs are prepared by the police and merely distributed to the selected media in their name for glorifying them.

Was it a ‘Sikh Struggle’ or the ‘Elusion of Sikh Sovereignty’?

To my mind, the repression continues though the style is changed.

Dr Manmohan Singh modern philosopher King of Plato

By Balbir Singh Sooch

To my mind, Dr Manmohan Singh is a modern philosopher King of Plato and one of the rare of the rarest Sikhs and considered as the most decorated among the Prime Ministers of the world.

It is my above any party line view and should not be taken as a support for congress or otherwise.

For me, The Bharatiya Janata Party of today is the Indian National Congress of yesterday Or Both are one of the same thing for the minorities especially Sikhs in India, the dealing for political fame as usual with the religion based minorities in India and nobody can differentiate between the Politicians (planted by central agencies) from the Majority and the Minorities in India?

The thieves, bad characters, rascals, villains, rouges, ruffians and gangsters are headmen of communities (Chor Uchakke Te Chaudhary Gunde Ne Pardhan) rightly said by Daler Mehandi, the prominent singer who faced police brutality for refusing to pay a heavy sum of bribe to the police in bargain for not involving him in criminal case(s).

The Fight of Protecting the Religion or the Politics of Religion!

By Balbir Singh Sooch, Advocate, Ludhiana

The world is burning in the fight of protecting the religion or the politics of religion only to teach a lesson to each other in all respects, in a fraudulent way. The government agencies as seen and experienced in India seem to be trained their men in respective fields to bring the confrontation at peak levels and for planting the story or stories like the religious places in the country on the boil and the end to it is not in sight so far.

From, the forum of the Sikh Vichar Manch, it is already said on the painful incident, “Sikhs along with all peace loving organizations in the world must register their protest strongly, adequately and effectively for meaningful and remedial action against torching London’s most important Gurdwara, which housed priceless religious books, in a suspected racist attack in Britain. The Sikh religion is the only another name of ‘Sri Guru Granth Sahib’ and its message is given through Gurdwara(s), worshiping place for all humans especially Sikhs to impart the message, meant for the peace, equity, dignity and the stability of mind in practice and actions and, that to avoid any confrontation among religions, communities, humans and so on in every field.

The religion must be allowed to be practiced and followed freely and reasonably with God gifted sanity, so long it does not hurt others in any manner. Guru Granth Sahib is the final and perpetual Guru of Sikhs. The disrespect in any manner to Gurdwara(s) should be taken in protest seriously as an insult to humanity and against the peace, equity, dignity and the stability of mind of all, the law abiding people following an unbiased way of life in the world.”

There was no end to provocations from the managed dramas by the agencies and the individuals in order to plan hatred, the killings, and the disappearances as was also seen in the process to destroy the Sikh religious valuable manuscripts and the historical books with the help of and in face of cheaters within and outside Sikh community as seen and being experienced in Punjab and elsewhere in India.

It looks as every such religious man from any community like who becomes Sikh for commercial motives and who accepts Sikhism formally to imitate Sikhs for material gains and to exploit Sikhism for their ignoble ends, is always asked to remain excited and claim against each other that his religion is supreme, and why don’t you follow and believe it alone? Like other serious drawbacks in humans, the so named religious men are not lagging behind in domestic violence and the hypocrisy.

Some are acting other way around for offending others to create distrust, hatred and the nuisance and claiming that there is no God and not to believe HIM at all, though, they are quietly performing all their respective religious ceremonies in their families.

It is like a war of hatred among the religious functionaries themselves and with the other category who does not believe in HIM. The atheist looks as he was fighting for non-existing entity. The believers like me, that God is ALMIGHTY and PROTECTOR, are also fighting with so called atheists to press them to agree about the existence and the supremacy of God. The atheists and believers, both are restless and dissatisfied because of imperfection i.e. lack of adequate use of God gifted sanity.

In view of the above, “The truth must be brought on surface to check the disturbing forces and the elements anywhere and everywhere permanently and similarly for the meaningful action against torching London’s most important Gurdwara for the peace, equity, dignity and the stability of mind.

Egoists have nothing to do with God or with their religion, they are mostly creator of hatred, nuisance and restless in the society for their own reasons and required be checked for the sake of humanity but not ruthlessly.

Sikhs Declared or Forced to Call Themselves as Militants, Extremists Etc, said Sooch

“Sikhs were always asked to be baptised Sikhs in large scale, intentionally and deliberately, so that some of them only be declared or forced to call themselves as militants, extremists etc for the specific purpose and others are demoralized to be such Sikhs in the process as seen and experienced in independent India”. - Balbir Singh Sooch-Sikh Vichar Manch; www.sikhvicharmanch.com; svmanch@gmail.com; Mobile: 9814334544

Who will listen, decide and whom to blame?

What manipulations are going on by applying such or the similar techniques that cause Sikhs to break down and suffer mentally and physically under different names of humanity and the records?

THE Sikhs donated blood to break the Guinness Book of World Records
VERSUS

 Sikh Spirit ending in

THE Sikhs donated blood to break the Guinness Book of World Records for ‘blood donation’-Congratulations!

Thank God! Those, who would have been warriors of Sikhs to shed their blood for their own cause, safety and security, donated blood to break the Guinness Book of World Records for ‘blood donation’.

Under the circumstances, Sikhs could be made donors in any form in my independent country. There are rare chances for them to be beneficiaries. Please do accept my congratulations!

Earlier, Sikhs were used or asked to be baptised Sikhs in large scale during like on the Hola Mohalla celebrations at the Sikh shrine of Keshgarh Sahib, only to declare some of them militants, extremists etc later on. After declaring them so and then maltreating them in name of eliminating militancy, their valuable body parts especially eyes, kidneys including blood used to be taken out in torturous cells in the past as was reported from Ropar torture cells.

What manipulations are going on by applying such or the similar techniques that cause Sikhs to break down and suffer mentally and physically under different names of humanity and the records? God knows!

I have already commented as under:

“Should Sikhs not learn a lesson from the past and now? Is it not proper to conclude in this manner? After shedding and taking out Sikhs blood against each other, as Sikhs were used from within to prosecute Sikh community in the name to fight back against terrorism or otherwise.

Now, they voluntarily would be made, taught and forced to give blood, in the name of donating blood, in one of the biggest blood donation camps in the world, March 10 during the Hola Mohalla celebrations at the Sikh shrine of Keshgarh Sahib.

In the mega-blood donation camp, over 25,000 units of blood are being targeted for collection within 24 hours, is being organised jointly by the Akal Takht, the highest temporal seat of Sikh religion, the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) and the Akal Purakh ki Fauj (Army of the Almighty).

Similarly, Sikhs being preached to participate in the target of 1,000,000- “One Million Chaupai Paaths” by June 2009 and so on, non-issues for them in hand endlessly but not allowing them to attend issues of their importance like restoring their self-dignity and the justice to them for the excesses committed since 1984 or without touching the other issues relevant to Sikhs.

Only, the style of inhuman policy stands changed selectively especially singling out Sikhs in India and elsewhere. Isn’t?”

The reasons of drug smuggling in the country known to the agencies meant to check the menace

Who does not like to become richer and one of the richest through the easy earning and the low risk business of smuggling of all types of intoxicants?

The risk of smuggling of intoxicants is the only easy source for becoming a member of a society called haves and the have nots are always ready and willing to be conduits-pipe lines for the purpose at the instance of the smugglers and influential to join the mainstream of the richest people at any risk.

The smugglers and influential in the business and operating remain untouched in the system.

To be involved in smuggling with the support of the smugglers and the influential including the agencies meant to check the menace, to join the mainstream of richness is very easy but the risk is very negligible or to say minimum or no risk at all.

It is all known to the agencies meant to check the menace of drug smuggling in the country.

To check the menace of drug smuggling and its addiction is rarely on the agenda seriously of any government till the sons and daughters of some of the politicians and the influential including the agencies meant to check the menace come in grip of the drug addiction, in large numbers, badly and to the epidemic and alarming proportions.

Only in that situation, the effective steps were seen in progress in true sense but for a very short period and thereafter, the criminals return to their business of the smuggling as usual.

That is also rarely reported by the so affected, for the fear of loosing their status symbol in the society.

For the politicians and the influential including the agencies meant to check the menace, the ill-gotten money and the status raised from and through the source of drug smuggling is always dearer than their children.

Hence, there are no serious efforts on the agenda of any government to check and stop the menace of the drug addiction that has assumed epidemic and alarming proportions especially in Punjab over the past few years and may further worsen the situation in the country as explained.

Again question remains as to who will listen, decide and whom to blame?

Punjabi University holds symposium on Guru Granth Sahib

Balbir Singh Sooch-Sikh Vichar Manch

March 10, 2009 at 8:03 pm

Punjabi University holds symposium on Guru Granth Sahib-To my mind, any religion is misunderstood by the respective practitioners than following it rightly for the peace, equity, dignity and the stability of mind in practice and, that only causes confrontation among religions, communities, humans and so on in every field.

Otherwise, there is no reason to discard or oppose any religion over the other and the religion should be allowed to be practiced and followed reasonably with God gifted sanity, so long it does not hurt others in any manner.

For me, in the context, Dr Jaspal Singh, Vice -Chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala rightly said, “Sikhism transcends various barriers of caste and creed, inculcates ‘a universal morality’ among the human beings that could help resolving the ongoing science -sponsored confrontation between ‘man and nature’. And, ‘Gurbani’ lays down a basis for developing a “composite culture’ which could also eliminate the conflicts emerging and shaping around different cultural identities, he added”.

California Assemblyman Introduces Bill to Protect the Kirpan

Submission by Balbir Singh Sooch, Advocate, Ludhiana, for consideration in the larger interest of Sikh Community- The possible language of the legislation for consensus may be as under:

The legislation was necessary so that the Sikh community should not live in fear of arrest by law enforcement for carrying the kirpan, which is an integral part of dress and or otherwise for the Sikh practitioners religiously.

And, the legislation would require police officers to receive instruction about the Sikh faith to prevent instances of ignorance-based harassment, or at the very least provide a legal basis for holding police officers accountable to culturally appropriate standards of enforcement for the diverse communities in which they work, when the Sikhs as ‘practitioners’ of their faith truly’ carry blade i.e. Kirpan as part of five articles of ‘specific size’.

The Sikhs as ‘practitioners’ mean who practise in the sense; ‘Truly’ means who believe strictly in carrying it as part of five articles of ‘specific size’ allowed; In case, the internationally recognized ‘Sikh coalition’ or Sikh Committee (s)  as may be specified in the legislation certifies so, keeping in mind the safety and security, to such Sikh practitioners as beneficiaries under the legislation, then, there should not be any hitch in reviewing it (bill) and the gaining political traction in the upcoming legislative session, so far, I understand from the news. www.sikhvicharmanch.com

Injustice as a part of strategy
to rule over Punjab-India

By Balbir Singh Sooch, Advocate, Ludhiana

To repeat the injustice done to Punjab has become customary before every election-Injustice as a part of strategy to rule over Punjab-India: The Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal stated always openly and admittedly that as a chief minister of the state of Punjab, he did not have powers independently more than a Municipal Corporation within the Indian federal system and the genuine students of political science do understand all this.

Under the system, what is the hidden understanding in the so-called Indian democracy that only a few families or selected individuals are allowed to rule over their respective states in turn as congress and Akalis in Punjab with an iron rod of injustice i.e. with the help of lawless brutal police force?

To repeat the injustice done to Punjab has become customary before every election under the hidden understanding with the centre and the parrot like repetition of demands always remained without any effective action so far.

Demands: Whose demands?

  1. Calling for the setting of a true federal system in the country with more financial powers to states.
  1.  As usual, in an address to the Punjab Assembly, the Governors demanding “decentralization of the planning process”.
  1. The injustice done to Punjab in the matter of river waters issue and in the denial of Chandigarh and other Punjabi speaking areas “should be immediately removed”.
  1. “That “transfer of Punjab’s water to any other state is against any established principle and law. (The Riparian Principle)” and “Punjab has no surplus water”.
  1. Does tolerating the injustice under the hidden understanding (vision and stature) with the centre to maintain the family rule at the cost of people of Punjab and the repetition of the injustice always amount to the replacement only of politics of confrontation with that of consensus and conciliation, and for that, is the Punjab Governor General SF Rodrigues (Retd.) giving the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal the credit and describing him as “one of the greatest statesman of all times?
  1. Would there be ever any chance within the Indian system to have real justice for the selective and exceptional law abiding neutrals without toeing the line of factionalism?

With a hope for the best

Harjinder Dilgeer remained as one of the most privileged and respected writers in the eye of the SGPC and the DGPC and the government of India

Respected all,
Fateh!

Writer Harjinder Dilgeer remained as one of the most privileged and respected writers in the eye of the SGPC and the DGPC and the government of India, while he always maintained like some other functionaries and the individuals that he was most-wanted for his anti-India activities abroad despite his unchecked and uncontrolled continued free movements to India and vice versa.

My encounter with him against his attitude could be seen on pages 100 to 106 of a book, ‘ Samen Da Sachch (Sikh Dukhant)’ published by Jaswant Printers, Ludhiana in 1997.  It was reminded to him by Mr. Purdaman Singh Bedi when he (Dilgeer) was bending before then President, Jathedar Gurcharan Singh Tohra, and the General Secretary, Manjit Singh Calcutta of the SGPC again for a favour from them but in vain, before saying good-bye to them. Thereafter, he approached to the DGPC, who honoured him for his Panthic services as a great writer. He replied to Mr. Bedi affirmatively.

Whether to judge him suspicious in Panthic interest and who is right and wrong, only the impartial and a thorough examination of his past conduct projected in the books of SGPC edited by him including Dilgeer’s book “Sikh Twareekh” (History of Sikhs) and the conduct of other related writers and the material with him is required to be examined to decide the matter in question finally as asked?

Sikhi’s Survival Should Not be left as a Token of Identity Only

Respected all,

I am always ready and willing to cooperate and send my articles/views to all willing to receive according to my capacity and ability though it is not my profession.

But you are at liberty to publish any article or views as news etc from my website and email posted after necessary editing without changing the sense and meaning.

Indian press does know that “Only freedom of expression without justice and welfare, in face of and in the presence of brutal police force, military and other paramilitary forces, serves always more to corrupt ruler than people in the system as existing in our country" that’s by government of India is sparing me so far otherwise there is no freedom of expression in India and the press is controlled and privileged to harm or defame any individual/family which must suite to the government of the day irrespective of any party etc.

Please stress and emphasize more that the Sikhi’s survival should not be left as a token of identity only with Sikhs belonging to Dhande Di Sikhi (those who become Sikhs for commercial motives) and Bhekh Di Sikhi (those who accept Sikhism formally to imitate Sikhs for material gains and to exploit Sikhism for their ignoble ends) in connivance with SGPC/RSS/BJP/Congress fraudulently as it looks today within and abroad.

Options striking at terrorist camps in
Pakistan and elsewhere

Mumbai Terror Attack: is a proof of striking with the help of corrupt and anti-nationalists in other country’s territory (India) said to be by the sponsored, aided, encouraged terrorists and at the same time provoking my country to trespass and manage the support of other countries to strike at terrorist camps in the territory of another country (Pakistan). Whether doing so at will on the provocation of said to be lawless terrorists would be justified legally and a healthy precedent striking by anyone in defence and trespassing?

May that precedent and justification not prove other way wrong for maintaining law and order within our own country or elsewhere?

Would it be necessary to keep the apprehensions in mind before managing and the striking at such terrorists camps though the strikes are likely to prove, for time being, very beneficial politically for the ruling group at centre and for morale booster of citizens who are hopelessly disappointed from the politicians of India?

Dear Advocate Balbir Singh Jee Sooch, Sikh Vichar Manch,

Yesterday, USA President George Bush has admitted his mistake about "weapons of mass destruction" in Iraq but still continues to fight for the last six years. It equally applies to Afghanistan. Now net result is before our eyes - i.e. we will sink but we will also take you with us??? It is a fact that some persons have killed about 175 innocent persons and destroyed some portions of Taj Hotel (Mahal) and Oberoi Hotels and as such it should be investigated thoroughly, and culprits brought to book with speed but without any bias, in an open court.

Indian Government should avoid the golden trap offered by USA and Israel as it will be nothing but total destruction of India & Pakistan.

Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Defence Minister should not try to appease BJP/RSS or any foreign country. Nor this will bring victory to the Congress during the next election under this ruse of eliminating terrorists just as after 1984 attack on Darbaar Sahib. USA, UK, Israel could not eliminate terrorism, so will be the fate of India until they sit together and resolve amicably under the umbrella of U.N.

Also remember Second World War took place after the great depression

- Financial Crisis of 1929-1930, which then resulted dropping of Atom Bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6 & 9 August 1945 whereas now both countries are equipped with Atomic weapons. Just imagine?? Please advise the Indian PM to cool down and first investigate the involvement of Lt. Col. Purohit and his mates who had stored enough weapons and ammunition for such anti-nation activities though other elements can't be ruled out.

At page 918 (11) of the Guru Granth Sahib, Guru Sahib advises us:
"Aisa Kunm Mulay Na Keechay Jitt Aentt Paschotieyay.."  --
We should avoid any such action for which we have to repent in the end.

This time it will not be easy like Bangladesh war of December 1971.

Let us live in peace and harmony and try to tackle such problems with patience and skills.

May Akaal Purkh save this burning world!

Though, it may be symbolic for the majority downtrodden in the world. But it is the right occasion of achieving the target for the peace loving, law abiding and the factual human rights activists to celebrate and congratulate the great Mr. Barack Obama.

Despite best brains, poverty a shame on India: UN

Who knows what the pain of poverty is???

To my mind, the poverty alleviation programmes remained in the hands of mostly people who don’t know what is the pain of poverty? It can safely be said that the honest with “best brains and best ideas” having knowledge of ground realities though poor are available in India and in the countries with similar living conditions. For the reasons, they could prove best to lead the poverty alleviation programmes and reduce its pain provided the impact i.e. sincere and honest implementation of such schemes is cross checked by the men of the integrity or and belonging to the independent organisation like UN. UN Millennium Campaign Global Director Sahil Shetty very rightly said, “Poverty is a shame on the face of the country. We have to wipe it out”. Oct 17, 2008 11:37 PM

Despite best brains, poverty a shame on India: UN

Agencies

Posted: Oct 17, 2008 at 1504 hrs IST

New Delhi, October 17: : Noting that one-third of the poor people in the world resides in South Asia, a senior UN Millennium Campaign official on Friday said existing poverty is a “shame” on the face of India and efforts should be expedited to erase it.

Addressing a function organised by Amnesty International in New Delhi, UN Millennium Campaign Global Director Sahil Shetty said that if India and South Asia cannot achieve poverty alleviation, it cannot be erased from the earth.

“Poverty is a shame on the face of the country. We have to wipe it out,” Shetty said.

He said that India has the “best brains and best ideas” to lead the poverty alleviation programmes.

 Poem: Oh! My God

By Balbir Singh Sooch

Oh! My God!

My miseries and deeds were YOURS

Neither believed nor trusted YOU

Faced untold agonies repentantly

It was my test, I never knew at all

My miseries and deeds were YOURS

Oh! God! I never knew at all

Oh! My God!

I never noticed the miseries of men

Who deployed by YOU for my untold agonies

They were doing YOUR assigned task

And were crying and what not...? for my trial

Oh! My God!

I never knew YOUR fun except my own hypocrisy

I don’t know YOUR CHOICE to pardon me or

What is in store for me and all?

Oh! My God!

My miseries and deeds were YOURS

Finally I surrender after knowing all

None was mine but not repenting at all

Oh! My God!

I bow my head

Before YOU and all

I surrender unconditionally

But you know all

It was always test, I never knew at all

Oh! My God!

The hope is very likely to be fertile as Indian-Americans laud Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and promise N-deal as a gift for him. Indian officials are also hoping that the US Congress will approve the landmark nuclear deal by the time Manmohan Singh leaves New York later on Saturday. Indians do really feel proud in having a man of Dr. Manmohan Singh stature as the Prime Minister of India who rightly and honestly deserves all praise along with his sincere team including Madam Sonia Ji and her family members for putting India on the global map with his farsighted economic policies and his unwavering belief in seeking nuclear liberation of India after the sufferings and the isolation globally for 34 years in the field. President George W. Bush and the Secretary of State Ms Condoleezza Rice who did and are doing everything possible to get the N-deal finally approved despite the opposition and obstacles from the very beginning for the deal, would always be remembered as history maker of friendship between India and US.

US House of Representatives passes Indo-US N-Deal

Agencies Posted: Sep 28, 2008 at 0459 hrs IST

Washington, Sept 28: The Indo-US civilian nuclear deal has moved into the last lap clearing a major hurdle when the US House of Representatives approved a legislation on it that will now go to the Senate before the two countries can implement the civil nuclear agreement.

After a lot of drama and suspense, the House passed the Bill on an unusual extra day of sitting on Saturday with bi-partisan support but a considerable number of Democrats were still opposed to it.

The Berman Bill H R 7081, named after Howard Berman, a Democrat strongly opposed to the deal on non-proliferation grounds and who converted only a couple of days ago, was adopted with 298 voting for and 117 against. One lawmaker merely voted present.

The deal just needs the backing of the Senate which may vote next week on the issue. But the Senate vote appears to be a formality given the fact that an identical Bill has already been approved by its Foreign Relations Committee earlier this week.

Though a Congressional consent eluded the deal when PM Manmohan Singh and President George W Bush met on Thursday, the House approval came hours before the PM left the US shores winding up his five-day visit on his way to France.

Once the Senate gives its nod, the nuclear agreement between the two countries will be ready for signing between External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who is slated to visit New Delhi on October 3.

The Administration is keen on signing the deal before the end of the term of Bush who had entered into the agreement with Singh more than three years ago that will end three decades of nuclear apartheid against India.

National Security Advisor M K Narayanan welcomed the adoption of the deal by the House saying it was a matter of great satisfaction. He expressed the hope that the Bill would get cleared in the Senate sooner than later rather than wait for the next session.

Hailing the House action, Indian Ambassador to US Ronen Sen said, it would now be the last lap of a historic step for both the countries. The deal enjoyed bi-partisan support and was good for both India and the US.

South Carolina Republican Joe Wilson, one of the strongest supporters of the legislation and the agreement, hailed the vote saying it moved the US one step forward in strengthening the partnership with people of India.

Ludhiana New Master Plan-Though Details are Awaited

Submission

Subject: The administration, Pollution control board and departments concerned not to ignore the legal provision to keep Ludhiana worth living, pollution free, clean and green.

Despite the information that the residents of areas near Sangeet Cinema etc have been left high and dry is very painful but at the same time there seems something positive in the plan that there shall be no further expansion of these industrial units.

It was also decided that Ludhiana being an industrial city, the present trend of co- existence of commercial and industrial activity, along with residential use, cannot be disturbed immediately but should be regulated through a legal provision for setting up shopping centres, hotels, hospitals, and other activities so that people, who are running polluting and hazardous waste generating industry, are encouraged to use their land for commercial use if they choose to shift the industry away from the city.

The residents hope and submit that the administration, Pollution control board and departments concerned would not ignore the legal provision to keep Ludhiana worth, living, residential, pollution free, clean and green.

Would the inquiry be independent, impartial and complete in all respect in the graft case against the Tehsildar-cum-Sub Registrar, Arvind Parkash Verma and others in the interest of justice?

Observation and Comments

It is very true that in face of only independent, impartial and complete inquiry in all respect in the graft case against the Tehsildar-cum-Sub Registrar, Arvind Parkash Verma and others in the interest of justice, many skeletons are expected to tumble out of the closet as it was an open secret that government offices were full of corrupt and slothful officers, who won't move a file unless they are bribed, the district courts are full of touts and nothing moves without money.

In view of the above if the bureau was really all set to investigate the role of all named by the accused, must go even beyond that to find out the many local politicians, senior officials, touts and other professionals were involved in the racket and connected in the business.

The arrest accepting a bribe the part of political vendetta or has any connection with the arrest by the Vigilance Bureau of a sub-registrar, Arvind Verma who had replaced ‘most honest’ officer who was presented the ‘Most Honest Officer’ award by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal about four months ago when the corruption is always allowed openly for humiliating, insulting and harassing people were not the motives that brought to the centre stage that the office was a den of corruption, should also be the one of the issues required to investigated and concluded in this case to remove apprehension in the minds of people and all concerned that the arrest accepting a bribe was not a part of political vendetta or has no connection replacing ‘most honest’ officer through the Court Orders.

Sub-registrar arrested for accepting bribe

Was the arrest accepting a bribe a part of political vendetta or has any connection replacing ‘most honest’ officer through the Court Orders?

Was the arrest accepting a bribe a part of political vendetta or has any connection with the arrest by the Vigilance Bureau of  a sub-registrar, Arvind Verma who had replaced ‘most honest’ officer who was presented the ‘Most Honest Officer’ award by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal about four months ago otherwise the corruption is always allowed openly for humiliating, insulting and harassing people and the complaints and the problems are numerous like erratic power supply, so many schools in Punjab which do not have teachers and drinking water, Students from the middle and lower-middle classes can't get admissions to schools without giving 'donations', the roads are in bad shape, Traffic is hardly regulated by the cops, who are present only to extract money from people violating traffic rules, the telephone department won't fix your phone unless the lineman has been given his regular bakshish of Rs 100, the shopping malls display their products on the shelves even if the expiry date is over, or only a couple of weeks away. There is inadequate parking at most of the malls, the city bus stands and railway stations are pathetic. The state buses are not even fit for short journeys, the public parks are sans any public utilities. Dark and unlit corners make perfect spots for petty crimes, there is no facility for accident victims, government offices are full of corrupt and slothful officers, who won't move a file unless they are bribed, the district courts are full of touts and nothing moves without money? Sub-registrar arrested for accepting bribe

Ludhiana, September 19 The Vigilance Bureau arrested a sub-registrar, Arvind Verma, after he was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from an NRI on Friday. Two others, identified as Parminder Pal Singh (cashier) and Harjinder Singh (police constable), were also arrested. The sub-registrar’s reader, Gopal Krishan, is absconding.

“NRI Barjinder Singh Lalton wanted to register a power of attorney favouring one Baljit Singh of Baddowal and approached Verma. The accused demanded Rs 15,000 as bribe. Later, the deal was settled at Rs 10,000. After this, Lalton filed a complaint with us,” said Senior Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Bureau, Kanwarjit Singh Sandhu.

A Vigilance Bureau team, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Rav Charan Singh Brar and Deputy Superintendent of Police Gurcharan Singh, laid a trap for the sub-registrar. After Lalton delivered the cash, it passed from Verma to Krishan to Parminder Pal Singh and finally to Harjinder Singh.

The Vigilance Bureau also conducted a raid at Verma’s house in Jalandhar and seized Rs 1.59 lakh, 47 bottles of Scotch whiskey and two unlicensed rifles. The Jalandhar Police has registered two cases, one under the Excise Act and another under the Arms Act, against Verma in this regard, said SSP Sandhu.

Verma had replaced ‘most honest’ officer

Sub-registrar Arvind Verma had replaced Mukesh Kumar, who was presented the ‘Most Honest Officer’ award by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, about four months ago.

Amarinder Singh expelled from Punjab Assembly

Is the act of an established political vendetta?

Big Bang-House expels Captain Amarinder Singh-Ex Chief Minister Punjab

Is the act and game of corrupt versus Corrupt as usual?

Or is it an established political vendetta?

Is it a part of act and game of political deterrence for the people, MPs, MLAs etc?

Is it a show of political power and oneness by the present government like others always used to do politically and revengefully in case of the opponents in India?

Do the people of this country find any sincere approach and outcome to eradicate corruption in such cases and “Logic has reached its crescendo” as alleged?

Could there be any race or test of loyalty and disloyalty of MLAs hereafter?

Would the expulsion diminish Amarinder Singh as a political leader or is something else in store for him?

The answers to the questions are not so easy in Indian democracy and similarly there is no hope at this instant for prevailing rule of law in face of might is right in the spoiled system.

HC full bench to deliberate on 'definition of Sikh'

From the teachings and the experience acquired by the grace of God, I define ‘Sikh’ and ‘the central idea of the teachings of sacred scripture, the Adi Granth’ respectively as under:

“Sikh is a symbol of insight of human perfection, the optimistic nature of human ought to be reflections of Sikh Gurus and purely based on the teachings of  sacred scripture, the Adi Granth of the fifth largest world religion”.

The central idea is: “To have less hunger and curiosity of sex, anger, snare, greed and pride, the more is the peace of mind. As the peace of mind is directly proportional to hunger and curiosity of sex, anger, snare, greed and pride”.

India is very likely to sign no-proliferation treaty literally

US says next aim to make India 'full partner' in Nuclear Suppliers' Group (NSG) and for the purpose, India is very likely to sign no-proliferation treaty literally anytime after the next elections-2009, by the new government to become 'full partner' in NSG and the US (administration) rightly said the atomic energy would play an important role for economic development of India. NSG passes India waiver by consensus (Lead)

COMMENTS

NSG passes India waiver by consensus (Lead) is a very happy news and congratulations for peace loving and the law abiding people in the World and it shall definitely result into sustainable peace and prosperity” on the lines desired from the very beginning and recently commented by me, “The “significant” statement by India that it would abide by a “voluntary unilateral moratorium on nuclear testing” and its appreciation by US would give a positive momentum to talks by the 45-member Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) aimed at granting a waiver to New Delhi to enable it do nuclear commerce. Where is the question of no commitment on part of India in view of the undertaking when ‘The 123 agreement clearly says that if India goes for a nuclear test, the fuel supply would be stopped? There is no need of a nuclear test for India (and) hence no question of fuel supply being stopped arises,’ said Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi” as found quoted. Now the point of contention might be that in case India chooses to violate or withdraw from the N-deal and prefers to go for nuclear testing anytime under the changed circumstances then what would be the checks and sanctions against India? Would India ever prefer nuclear testing in face of poverty, unhealthy living conditions, existing disparity, problem of law and order i.e. class and caste etc war like situation created in India? No-doubt; N-deal is open and not expressly clear on the issue so far as it could be judged, guessed and seen from the draft of the deal and also from the raised hue and cry for and against the deal”. India will not be a source of proliferation, says Pranab

Vinay Kumar

India on Friday reiterated its commitment to strengthen the non-proliferation regime and assured the world community that it would abide by a “voluntary unilateral moratorium on nuclear testing.” In view of the statement, evaluate the views and similarly always expressed views optimistically opposing the ‘politics of opportunism’

“The condition though not expressed in the N-deal that the US has the right to terminate nuclear commerce with India in the event of a nuclear test by India but it was very much implied from the language of N-deal and other factors considered and taking place in the international scenario.

There is nothing new to raise such a hue and cry by the parties opposing the deal for only selfish political compulsions and reasons keeping in mind the coming General Lok Sabha Elections-2009.

To my mind, even if India feels herself so powerful any time to end nuclear commerce with US, India would be free to do so as there is nothing specifically binding to that effect expressly between the countries.

Who would be in what capacity to terminate the deal is left open to be decided by the coming generations as understood from the deal.

However, everyone is free to interpret the deal so far it is left unexplained between the parties.

So long deal is beneficial must be accepted by India for sustainable peace and prosperity”.

The views always expressed optimistically opposing the ‘politics of opportunism’ by:

Sikhs -Nihang Ajit Poohla’s Death and
the Indian State’s Terror on Punjab’s Land
.

Poohla’s group faces uncertain future

Nihang Poohla, accused of heinous crimes - murder, drug trafficking and land grab-6

Sikhs -Nihang Ajit Poohla’s Death and the Indian State’s Terror on Punjab’s Land. State Terror Network assisted and projected hero Jaswinder Singh alias “good fighter” alias Nihang (Baba) Ajit Singh Poohla, accused of heinous crimes - murder, drug trafficking and land grab - Ajit Singh Poohla was "a patriot and nationalist" to former Punjab DG KPS Gill. Such was the clout enjoyed by this former police cat Nihang – who was set ablaze at the high-security Central Jail, Amritsar and died in PGI, Chandigarh on August 29, 2008. While fixing the responsibility for the death of Nihang Ajit Singh Poohla  “His misdeeds and misadventures” must be seen and linked to “The Indian state’s terror on Punjab’s land” and “human rights abuses include abuse of Sikh religion in Punjab and elsewhere” as his gang especially his name was synonymous with State terrorism.

Nihang Ajit Singh Poohla also created fear psychosis in mind of the Judges and courts-5

Is it not a rare coincidence, Phoola and his armed brigade raided the house of Jattana in the wee hours of August 29 , 1991, and burnt alive four women, named Jasmer Kaur (grandmother), Dawarki Kaur, Manpreet Kaur (a class VII student) and Harsimranjit Kaur, a six-year-old handicapped girl. After 17 years, Poohla succumbed to burn injuries on the same day i.e. August 29? Nihang Poohla was involved in illegal occupation of a gurdwara in Sector 39 and growing poppy on the premises. He was thrown out in 2005, after 15 long years. It was not a stray incident. In the last two decades, he has been accused of wresting control of various historical gurdwaras across Punjab - to grow and sell poppy. Poohla enjoyed a high security cover of 42 official gunmen armed with 77 sophisticated weapons. Nihang Ajit Singh Poohla also created fear psychosis in mind of the Judges and courts. How he could do all this and at whose instance? Was he always backed by politicians and secret agencies?

Baba used abusive language against the judge-4

“Indian Express Friday October 20, 1995- Taruna Dal Chief creates ruckus in court-Poonam Batth-Chandigarh, Oct 19: The Taruna Dal Nihang Chief, Ajit Singh Puhla, created a ruckus in the district courts yesterday and today when he forcibly took his armed Nihangs into the complex despite resistance by a jawan of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). According to sources, the alone CRPF jawan was pushed aside by armed guards of the Baba and a gun was allegedly put on his temple. They succeeded in reaching the threshold of the court of the judge concerned. The immediate cause of provocation is learnt to be issuance of warrants of Baba directing him to appear in the court as a prosecution witness, in the infamous Kanwar Singh Dhami case. It is learnt that the Baba used abusive language against the judge outside the court premises ........ He later went to "meet" the judge in his chamber. It is not known what transpired between two.

The judge concerned immediately summoned a senior police officer in the court-3

The judge concerned immediately summoned a senior police officer in the court and apprised him of the developments. Despite the advance information to the local police about the Baba’s second appearance today in the same court laxity in security of the courts was apparent. The Baba along with his armed men, though less in number on the second day, managed to transgress into the court building. The armed Nihangs today roamed freely in the courts complex with their arms and even got the chamber of one of the lawyers vacated for making room for themselves, it is learnt. Interestingly, one of the Nihangs was also carrying a walkie talkie wireless set in his hand. Threatening Calls: his 20 page order, Mr Justice Jhanji revealed that no more than one occasion, attempts were made to browbeat the court as "anonymous" callers threatened him on the telephone asking him to wash his hands off the case.

The same was brought to the notice of the Chief Justice of the High Court.-2

He said that one caller even told him that he could be picked up and thrown in a furnace like the three had been thrown along with their car and scooter. "Their modus operandi thus, has been to create fear psychosis," he has stated. Bid to Misuse Law: The judge termed it yet another attempt to misuse the process of law. Elaborating further, he said that on one occasion, the then Advocate General, Punjab, Mr G.K. Chathrath, accompanied by an AIG of police, Mr S. Chatopadhya, approached him while attending a division bench to pass important information. The two met him in the chamber saying that there was danger to his personal security. On another occasion, a retinue of Nihangs (Nihang Ajit Singh Poohla’s men) considered close to Mr. Saini thronged the court room and had to be evicted with the help of CRPF personnel. The same was brought to the notice of the Chief Justice of the High Court.

The most sensational revelation of the year coming from the High Court-1

The most sensational revelation of the year coming from the High Court was that Mr. Justice V.K. Jhanji had been "threatened" and an attempt was made to "blackmail" him. The reason cited by the judge was that certain police officials of Punjab wanted him to take off his hands from the case related to mysterious disappearance of two Ludhiana based businessmen and their driver. The matter was posted to Apex court”.....as reported. Is there any hope for fair probe in light of the network, misdeeds and misadventures and the criminal background of one of the most notorious Nihangs, Ajit Singh Poohla by the high level independent agency to do justice or would the probe be as a futile rat and mouse race only? Poohla’s group faces uncertain future

Amritsar, August 29 Clashes not ruled out for successor’s post, body to be cremated at Baba Bakala Dera

The splinter group of Taruna Dal, a Nihang organisation headed by controversial Ajit Singh Poohla, who died at PGI in Chandigarh today morning of burn injuries, faces an uncertain future in the absence of any successor.

Poohla, who had built a regime of his own with dozens of gurdwaras and deras brought under his control by force or deceit, had perhaps never imagined that the end would be so sudden and never thought of choosing a successor.

Though insiders do not rule out squabbles and clashes within the group, the influence of Poohla’s group, in fact, had been on a decline in the past about five-six years, with his control over gurdwaras and deras declining.

At many gurdwaras, the management revolted and at others the general

public raised a hue and cry, forcing Poohla to withdraw.

Poohla’s body would be brought to the Baba Bakala Dera, about 45 kms from here, late tonight and would be kept for the general public to pay homage before cremation tomorrow. Poohla’s mother and some relatives are expected to be present, apart from various supporters of his organisation. “There is little likelihood that any of his successors would be announced shortly. It will take some time as there is no clear-cut selection in this regard,” said Ajmer Singh, a Nihang in his team.

Poohla, who escaped death for two decades after being chased by Khalistani terrorists for being a police informer, met his death in the most unsuspecting manner.

It is expected that eight-ten of his close confidants would claim to be his successor and there may even be clashes, but it would be history repeating itself as Poohla himself had revolted against his chief, Baba Bishan Singh, in 1985 and formed his own group.

A good orator, Poohla used to frequently visit other Nihang deras and was always on the lookout for a “useful person”. Poohla’s two-decade-long regime was marked by numerous controversies as he was basically a criminal from Ludhiana who took on the pious gown of the Nihang chief in a dramatic manner. His rise to headship of the Dal was marked by conspiracies, killings, tortures and even deceits. Under him, nobody could leave the dera without his permission and he snubbed all dissenting voices.

Meanwhile, various radical Sikh bodies have said his death was asa gruesome as his life.

“An infamous Nihang and police cat, Poohla killed many innocents. He grabbed land, raped women and committed human rights excesses during the period of militancy and even later. The worst inhuman act he committed was killing four women, all relatives of Balwinder Singh Jattana, a Babbar Khalsa militant, in 1991,” said Dal Khalsa secretary Kanwarpal Singh and SGPC member Karnail Singh Panjoli.

“Despite repeated pleas, the government denied any inquiry into the cold-blooded killings by Poohla, but finally justice was done,” said Kanwarpal.

Harbir Singh Sandhu, district chief of SAD (Amritsar), headed by Simranjit Singh Mann and Khalra Mission Organisation, also demanded that Harcharan Singh and Navtej Singh, who set him ablaze at the high-security Central Jail here yesterday, should not be tortured, though action as per the law would be taken against them.
