Dr Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India
By Balbir Singh Sooch, Advocate, Ludhiana

Any hurdles in the way of  Dr Manmohan Singh, Prime minister of India, who is a modern philosopher King of Plato-an exceptional and one of the rare of the rarest Sikhs in practice and in action and considered as the most decorated among the Prime Ministers of the world, would not work.

I am not close to him but I do know to differentiate man to man, to some extent, may not be possessing intellect of his standard. But, I am among those who wish to learn and amend.

To keep the person like him away from the real task by playing politics of deception including by raising the old fashioned hate generating issues like ‘Lord Rama’ existed or not, to be worshiped or not and other similar issues to raise the emotions and sentiments against each other for weakening the people in India and at the same time, making them useless to interact and compete with the outer world, never could be justified in the modern world.

Such issues are not only deceptive and superstitious in nature but also being highlighted cunningly with the ulterior motive to side track and politically harm such wonderful personlalities. ‘The Great Sikh Hope is within Sikhs and men like Dr Manmohan Singh, out of young generation, could not be ruled out.

To my mind, Dr Manmohan Singh is far better than all those elements, which supported silently the genocide of Sikhs, are being taken non-seriously by government for the maltreatment of Sikhs since long in India.

Though, Indian state has provided the elements a space to function, issue pamphlets, organise seminars etc.

In fact, it is generally known that many of these so called panthic organisations are routinely used by the police to issue statements……In many cases, the press hand-outs are prepared by the police and merely distributed to the selected media in their name for glorifying them. “PM Manomohan Singh is not a Sikh’’

The Sikh Vichar Manch is further more narrow minded than the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee Chief Avtar Singh Makkar and did not consider anybody Sikh unless he or she is not directly or indirectly dealing with ‘ Guru’s Golak’ i.e. ‘Guru’s Charity Box’ for his own ends.

In the context and for the political reasons, SGPC Chief Avtar Singh Makkar rightly, after referring PM Manmohan Singh’s Sikh credentials, said that ‘the PM is not a Sikh’.

Otherwise, the Sikh Vichar Manch considers PM Manmohan Singh as a modern philosopher King of Plato-an exceptional and one of the rare of the rarest Sikhs in practice and in actions and is being considered as the most decorated among the Prime Ministers of the world.

Moreover, nobody shall be tolerated religiously and or else to go into SGPC Chief Avtar Singh Makkar’s Sikh credentials to judge him as a Sikh.

The Credentials of the Prime Minister as a Sikh

The DSGMC president Parmajit Singh Sarna and the SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar, both contradict themselves on the question of as to whether Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh is a Sikh? They don’t stick to their own definition of Sikh.

They have no right to say any thing, far and against Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh for any reasons. They are only dealing with ‘Guru’s Golak’ i.e. ‘Guru’s Charity Box’ for their own ends. That’s why, they are “true Sikhs” otherwise they have no comparison with PM Manmohan Singh and are also not competent to give any certificate to PM.

In fact, they are factionalists and are planted to harm the interest of Sikhs conspiringly.

Modern Sikhs “true Sikhs”, whoever are directly or indirectly dealing with ‘Guru’s Golak’ i.e. ‘Guru’s Charity Box’ could go out of control in their (Sarna and Makkar) favour senselessly, so better not to speak more about such ‘Guru’s Golak’ i.e. ‘Guru’s Charity Box’ modern “true Sikhs”. Guru named such persons as ‘Masands’ not Sikhs (Modern Sikhs “true Sikhs” in the sense, not responsible to GURU but to Delhi Durbar i.e. central agencies) and rest is the history.

Again, I prefer to use the same language with minor additions, while congratulating to Dr Manmohan Singh ji, Prime Minister of India

Congratulations to the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh

 May 23, 2004 and May 23, 2009

Dr. Manmohan Singh
The Prime Minister of
India

Your honour deserved to be Prime Minister because of your individual qualities and for the reasons became a choice of all again.

You proved yourself as an extraordinary personality and a clean Sikh (Not weak or useless) in the present top political scenario of India.

Here liberal attitude and farsightedness of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and her children, Rahul and Priyanka deserved to be especially appreciated & respected in all respects forever.

Sikhs do feel this moment as a compensation for them and that should prove and become as a reality.

You are having long innings in economical field and you are likely to touch a new height in this direction beyond any imagination like becoming the Prime Minister of India at this moment.

Beyond all this, the implementation of ‘Rule of Law’ should be your priority to protect the common man who has to take shelter meekly within the different horde / swarm who always remain beyond the reach of law.

Thus the flattery has become the way of life not the ‘Rule of Law’. The weakness of any individual, leads to corruption. Law must prevail in India to remove ills.

You have already promised development (again) keeping human element in mind.

I along with my family heartily congratulate you and your family members, who considered (now all countrymen think so) you a serious man as reported, for becoming the prime minister of this vast country though not fully managed so far.

I feel your quality of seriousness can be one of the reasons of your unmatched success.

Hope for the best
With regards

2 Challenges for India's New Government: Lifting Up the Economy ...
News Analysis

By SOMINI SENGUPTA

Published: May 22, 2009

NEW DELHI — In a hall adorned with paintings of battle, an understated economist named Manmohan Singh was sworn in Friday evening as prime minister of India for a second five-year term. His own battle promises to be twofold: how to restore high rates of economic growth at a time of a worldwide downturn and to push for effective government services that reach India’s legions of the poor……………..

Every third male student in Punjab drug addict, HC told

The entire Punjab is in the grip of drug hurricane

The smugglers and influential in the business and operating remain untouched in the system. Such and the similar characters in different styles are assigned the duty for slow poisoning people. To be involved in smuggling with the support of the smugglers and the influential including the agencies meant to check the menace, to join the mainstream of richness is very easy but the risk is very negligible or to say minimum or no risk at all. To check the menace of drug smuggling and its addiction is rarely on the agenda seriously of any government till the sons and daughters of some of the politicians and the influential including the agencies meant to check the menace come in grip of the drug addiction, in large numbers, badly and to the epidemic and alarming proportions.  For the politicians and the influential including the agencies meant to check the menace, the ill-gotten money and the status raised from and through the source of drug smuggling is always dearer than their children.
