Women's Bill Will Help Eve-Teasers!
http://www.emgonline.co.uk/news.php?news=9159

By Balbir Singh Sooch, Advocate, Ludhiana

The statement of Samajwadi Party (SP) president Mulayam Singh Yadav that Women's Bill will help eve-teasers....... was nothing, but, only amounts to that the minorities male leadership doing introspection i.e. showing their true colour and uncovering their face from their cultural cover while criticising the Women’s Quota Bill.

It is being argued by them that in the given socialization of women in India, it is possible that such women candidates would never think of opposing their husbands or other male relatives when it comes to taking a stand on issues concerning women. So reservation of seats for women would not really benefit women.

At the same time, it is further being said by most of the opposing members, “We are opposed to Women Reservation Bill in its present form and are demanding quota within quota for backward and Muslim women.” (Self-contradictory stand, and it is like recommending further incompetent women by quota within quota with the ulterior motive, to rule by their proxies)

In rebuttal, it was rightly said, “Many of them taking up the challenge (Samajwadi Party (SP) president Mulayam Singh Yadav also did field his daughter-in-law as one of the candidates in the election of Lok Sabha) have successfully ensured the election of their women-kin from their caste strongholds.

So far, no-body was talking as to where this country failed to empower women and have competent women to enter the election fray, if at all, it was really the case, and only talk about some parties would install female proxies who are relatives of party members.

Finding the arguments against the women’s quota Bill forceless and not appealing to any prudent man, finally, Mulayam Singh Yadav very absurdly stressed to his audience that Women's Bill will help eve-teasers.

On Tuesday, March 23, 2010 Mulayam Singh Yadav’s statement,” If the Women's Reservation Bill goes through, it's the daughters of industrialists and big bureaucrats who will get elected.  The girls who will be elected will be the sorts who get whistled at by boys.  I am saying this so it makes you angry (He was provoking his workers as video shows his insulting tone, mood and colour and the malafide intention in his remarks about women class who are more than 50 % of population of India)."

Was the insulting remarks of Mulayam Singh Yadav further not justifying my observation about the minorities male leadership made earlier as under?

“Before criticising the Women’s Quota Bill, the minorities male leadership must do introspection as to how they were brought, planted and projected in the Indian political system and why whom and what was their role remained so far in uplifting their communities in all fields including bringing the political awareness?

They may hear their inner voice of silent repentance provided they are slightly true to their conscientiousness and or religion in any manner. They are likely to utter automatically: Shame! Shame! Shame!

The time may come; they as leaders will be remembered by only adding all bad adjectives of any dictionary as prefix to their name in the history.”

The bad and the insulting remarks about women by Mulayam Singh Yadav was also a clear cut pointer that law and order atmosphere for women, what to talk of in the country, that even will not be safe in the parliament except for the women from their or their relatives families. On the other hand, they were also critic of the Bill for reducing their male quota replacing women in the parliament.

Did Mulayam Singh Yadav over step by his remarks, the guidelines taught and asked to propagate against the Indian women to the minorities male leadership, to prove their obedience and submissiveness to their masters in the discriminatory system while bringing up, planting and projecting to such leaders in the Indian political system?

Who is behind him? Was Mulayam Singh Yadav playing in the hands of some MPs or a class belonging to majority community who always supported the fundamentalist and the Manuwadi approach in India? After all, Mulayam Singh Yadav was not without god fathers behind him in politics.

Whether Mulayam Singh Yadav is following an ideology of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Mar 23, 1910 - Oct 12, 1967 and Jayaprakash Narayan (JP) October 11, 1902 - October 8, 1979 and to whom, Ram Manohar Lohia and Jai Parkash Narain followed in their time and from whom, they copied the ideology?

Did the ideology of Ram Manohar Lohia and Jayaprakash Narayan or of someone else also remain against women to that extent in India as being propagated?
