THE BASIC PURPOSE OF ‘SIKH PRAYER’ IS AN APPEAL TO ‘WAHEGURU-GOD’ FOR ‘HIS-GOD’ PROTECTION AND CARE, A PLEA FOR THE WELFARE AND PROSPERITY OF ALL MANKIND.

The Siri Guru Granth is a supreme treasure for all mankind and the Siri Guru Granth is by ‘Humble Servants (Sikh Gurus) Of God’ and Guru Gobind Singh bestowed upon the Granth the Guruship at Nanded in 1708.

Sikh means a follower of ‘Humble Servants (Sikh Gurus) Of God’.

Republican activist, Harmeet Dhillon, a Sikh-American woman, vice-chairwoman of the California Republican Party delivered the invocation-prayer, the ‘ardas’ — a Sikh prayer  in Punjabi and English at the start of the second session at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, on July 19, 2016.

SIKH PRAYER: A PLEA FOR THE WELFARE AND PROSPERITY OF ALL MANKIND: Taking the stage just minutes before Senator Jeff Sessions from Alabama officially nominated Donald Trump as party’s candidate for president, Ms Dhillon, delivered the 'Ardaas-Prayer' in Punjabi and then explained its meaning to the attending delegates.
